22 Aug 2008 - Day 1

Yupp rush, rush and rush again. We need to come out with a strategy which could start our holiday without a rush. It's like becoming a habit for us. We reached Heathrow at 7.30pm, headed straight to the check-in counter and boarded our Malaysian Airline flight but unfortunately we're delayed for 45 minutes due to some baggage pallets jammed inside the cargo compartment. Then 12 hours journey wasn't that smooth due to the bad weather around Berlin, Warsaw and India. Then, it got worse when we flew over Andaman Sea as we faced strong turbulences. Our plane were shaking furiously and suddenly the altitude dropped. Some passengers were panicked and screamed but luckily the ordeal only lasted for about 15 minutes. The cabin crews were very helpful as usual but we just couldn't get our appetites going when we looked at our in-flight meals. I think its quality suffered an altitude drops as well. The portions served were very small indeed and it reminds us of those mini microwave ready meal packs at Sainsbury's or Tesco. Anyway, the rest of our journey was rather uneventful. Around 6.30pm Malaysia time, we finally touched down in KLIA. We paid RM100 for a premier taxi to Capitol Hotel, Bukit Bintang. After freshening up and still suffering from jetlag, we forced ourselves to venture to the very familiar territory, Sungei Wang Plaza and hunt for 'Pengurup Wang' or Money Changer. Then, we had Hailam Chicken Rice for dinner. YUPP!! one item was crossed from 'our must to do list'. The next day morning, we flew to Singapore.. one regrettable holiday trip.
