In the Times Higher Education Supplement's 2007 World University Rankings, Imperial College London was ranked as 5th top best university in world, University of Melbourne ranked at 27, and Purdue University at 77.

In the world top 50 ranking for Natural Science - Imperial College at 13 and University of Melbourne at 33.

For the top 50 Life Sciences and Biomedicine, Imperial College at 7 and University of Melbourne at 17.

For the top 50 Universities for technology, Imperial College at 6 and University of Melbourne at 21 and Purdue University at 24.

For the top Social Science and top Art and Humanities, University of Melbourne has been ranked 17th top best 50.
