Day 3: Trevi Fountain, Quirinale Palace and surrounding area

On the way back to the hotel, we boarded the wrong bus at the Piazza Venezia. We stopped somewhere at one of the bus stops to wait for a bus back to Termini Station. We're quite lucky because a passerby kindly informed us that this bus stop is no longer in used. Although he spoke Italian but we could understand the sign language very well. He directed us to another bus stop around this area. About 10-15 minutes later, we catched a bus back to Termini Station. We went back to the hotel to have a rest.

Later in the evening, we went out again to find the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. The Berberini Metro station is near to the Trevi Fountain. However, it is not that easy to locate the Trevi Fountain. There are so many narrow lanes in the area. After lost a couple of times, we finally managed to see the Trevi Fountain signboard. Despite the heavy rain, there were so many people at the fountain. It was quite difficult to pass through the crowd to capture the best angle for photos.

We spent about 10-15 minutes at the Trevi Fountain, and then walked away from the crowd to continue our search for the Pantheon. We got lost again. I think we used Via Del Lavatore and continued to walk without knowing where does this road end. At the end of this road, we arrived at one big building. This is the Quirinale Palace area. At first we thought this is the Pantheon and therefore we just joined the queau. After checking the map, then we discovered that this is not the Pantheon. It was quite funny.

Anyway, we walked towards Via Nazionale and decided to abondon our plan to visit the Pantheon. We took a bus back to Termini Station and had a dinner at the usual Istanbul Restaurant. I ordered the same menu - risotto rice with chicken - for three days. I am sick of Risotto Rice now!
