Appreciating Arts: Our educational trip at National Gallery today

We went to Trafalgar Square this morning to check out the 'Street Dance' session. Unfortunately, the event is not held at this place but some college in Brentford. So, we opt to visit the National Gallery. We paid £3.50 each for the audio headphone to accompany us in these few hours educational tour of appreciating arts. There are a couple of famous paintings in the National Gallery such as 'The Virgin of the Rocks' by Leonardo da Vinci, 'The Entombment' by Michelangelo, 'Bathers at La Grenouillère' by Monet etc. There are two paintings that we never miss to see when we're at National Gallery.

Van Gogh 'Sunflowers' is at Room 45. This painting is called 'Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers'. There is another painting in this 'Sunflowers' series, painted earlier - ' Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers' which is now at one museum in Munich, Germany. Vincent Van Gogh life story is quite a sad one. My hubby love this painting the most, and so do I (now). Before this, I've never got a chance to appreciate this painting. Today, we got to admire the painting without any disturbance. The Arnolfini Potrait by Jon van Eyck is really beautiful and the painting is located at Room 56. I love the whole elements of this painting ... the light ...the mirror ...the color. The mirror, if you look closely has many elements of surprises.
