They called it "Gren-nich" not "Greenwich". Sounds funny ehh ? This English people, they love to drop the middle part of an important word. Eg. "ches" when comes to "Gloucester" or "Leicester". I remember we took our 1st tube ride, the speaker blarring out "Next stop, Glouster station".. we looked in our map.. "Hey there's no such station called Glouster" and we thought we took the wrong train! Then,"leister station".. again we thought we took the wrong route.. Imagine the confusion and stress we'd been through, in and out of the London Tube but in fact we did take the right train without knowing ! Yupp, it took us a month to realise that they err.. drop the "ces".. we were taken for a ride all this time..hehe.. Anyway, back to our "Gen-nich" trip. We took an hour Thames river cruise from Wesminster to Greenwich which passed under the London Bridge and Tower Bridge, and saw those fancy apartments with a unique architecture, Shakespeare's theatre, OXO building (I think it is used to be a factory for some product like Knor / Maggie cubes and I don't know why the building is so important and needed to be mention in our river cruise tour..) etc.. along the London dockland. Today, one part of our lost geographical knowledge has been intensively refreshed. In Greenwich, we are only allowed to talk about Longitude and Latitute ! (No that's not true.. I am just joking.) We do, however had a wonderful time seeing other tourist like us, queueing up, trying to take pictures of the Prime Meridian line at the Royal Observatory. Oh, did I mention, the place was packed with tourist who are mainly like us, crazy over a red line on the ground and scrambled to take a photo with one standing over it. Our trip ended with a visit to their Maritime Museum. Basically, err.. I think that's the only attractions that Greenwich aka Gren-nich can offers...Oh btw, did I mention that we stood over the Prime Meridian line ? I did ?.. hehe my bad..
