Political Correctness...

I remember during my school day when I learned about various cultures in my history lesson. One of the thing that stirred up my interest in reading history was the division of the society. It comes in term of our skin color, wealth, power and knowledge. In this millennium we have black or white, rich and poor, vip or non vip or now vvip, and intellectuals or non-intellectuals. Categorizing the things we believe in, such as patent behavioral, materials, dreams, colors have become our common practices in our everyday life. Yes, this of course will lead to the segregation of our modern society. As complex as it gets, most people tend to judge others by color scheme, materials and assets (body anatomy) and knowledge without judging themselves first. Some believes that the segregation is good because it will simplify our lives while others may disagree. Looking back in our history, we’d read or at least heard about the Caste system in India, “Khadam” practices in Egypt, old Apartheid system in South Africa, KKK in States, natives and non natives, “Bangsawan - Pacal” etc. Yes, it’s all about majority versus minority, supremacy versus non supremacy, and being marginalized and suppression. Waving weapons, daggers, twisting words with fancy catch phrases in front of the crowd for the purpose of the individual gains and to show being dominance, or uphold special signatures to signify their power over the other, or craving for a title to signify their "higher" status seems to be in trend. Other may have signs of delusion of granduer over their dominances like "syok sendiri" , "tamak haloba" or "tin kosong" but that's another issue, narcissism or psychological effects. Sadly these days, the word of “fairness” or "Equal" is just a mere fog over the cancerous maligned practices of segregation.
