This movie is a little bit over rated. Apart from the impressive CGI graphic and the unique yellowish, shiny background (reminds me of the Sky Captain movie but probably it tries to depict a historical events.), the story line is an anti-climax.Currently, it is rated 15 in UK and I think they should raise the bar to 18 & above. Only two words to justify my opinion, sex and violence. The uncut scenes of the seductive nude Oracle,the Queen's nude scene and the negotiation scene in the Persian's harlem are very very kinky..hehe. Then, 80% of the movie contents are filled with bloody battle scenes which I can only get it in my PC games..hehe.

With details after details of 360 degree of slow motion sequence of swords fighting and spears piercing..into bodies, body parts dislocated and head decapitated from the bodies are seem so real. The details shown when the heads came off their bodies are very brutal, viewer gets a bird's eye view of the wounds, blood squirts out from their dangling veins with the exposed vertebrae. Things to watch out, the Spartan's spear piercing sequence. They use their spears like a magicians waving their wands. The most brutal scene, the captain's son got decapitated. It was like, a moment of glory, a father proud of his son's achievement, time stand still, the Persian army fall down like flies, his son standing there.. smiling over their victory, THEN BANG ! his head rolls off his body! .OK, We all know about the history about these 300 spartans and Xerxes but the Persian's elite guards consist of mutant armies ? huh ? and he was surrounded by a bunch of mutilates sexy servants ? Fantasy or Fiction.. hehe..
