LU and the Mayor

Summer ! Yes, the bright sun, the warm air, those rains, the long day light, walk in the park, smell of those warm breeze, smell of those hot, sweaty and stuffy err..feels those bloody heats in the London Underground ! Yupp, the Piccadilly Line jammed for an hour with commuters packed like sardines this afternoon. I guess commuters like us have to go through this every years especially summer. We'd just watched London Debate last Thursday and Ken Livingston got grilled by the audiences who questioned him about the LU efficiencies. I think with the constant engineering works esp. weekend, tube refurbishments, train failures, signal failures, faulty lift, reduced escalator etc etc.. the mayor should seriously think about the fare reduction for tube commuters who have being very patience with the train constant spaghetti schedules. Then, the drastic jumped of increased in the bus fare earlier this year to give in their workers Union demands were unjustified with the services we are getting esp. our route 83. Route 83 is a nightmare. Sometimes, we waited for an hour+, while other times, they came in a group of two or three tailing each other. I guess there is nothing much can be done because in London, everything is £££ talks here. So, for those Malaysian who wish to come here be prepared to dig deep inside your pocket ! There's no such thing as RM3.00 Nasi Lemak here..
