What a slow Saturday. I still felt sick and bored at the same time when Yang dragged me out to the
Vue cinema to kill our boredom. Surprisingly, we ended up watching
The Forbidden Kingdom under Yang’s recommendation although I kept looking at
Wall-E poster next to the counter with a faint hope that we might “accidentally” buy a wrong ticket which we didn’t. Anyway, I think it’s the sequel of the
Journey to the West story which I read during my childhood time. Well, the storyline is smooth except for a few err extra baggage characters who spoiled the movie. I mean, if they axed off White Witch (who reminds me of the anime character on one of those
ATI Radeon catalogue) and

Sparrow characters, and minus their weird American slang (which send me back to those early
Bruce Lee's movies which dubbed in the funny quacky American voices), the director might scores a hit here. Anyway, we give this movie 3 thumb up because it's a real treat to Jet Li and Jackie Chan's fan especially the scene in the ruin Temple. Jackie Chan step into his old time classic character in the Drunken Master while Jet Li uses his mixtures of
Wong Fei Hung's and
Fong Sai Yuk's sequence except for his famous No Shadow Kick.. hehe.
