We're back from Morocco !

You all might have noticed that we've been a bit quiet this month. Well, that's because we're struggling to keep up the pace of our travel schedule.. hehe. Anyway, we had just came back from Marrakech, Morocco yesterday. Our 1 week holiday was great and we enjoyed our stay there..every seconds of it ! Moroccans are very friendly toward the Malaysian tourist like us and also thanks to our very experience tour guide, Rahmat, a Malaysian student. Like our previous tour guide, Razman, in Cairo he's also very fluent in Arabic language. With his extra ordinary skills in price haggling and excellent PR with Moroccans we managed our way around Marrakech like a day walk in a park and bought a bag full of souvenirs ..hehe.. sort of.

Wandering around the Souks, Jemma Al Fina, Ourika Valley etc was one of the most unforgettable experience for us. Then we had Tajine for lunch and dinner .. everyday ! i.e. Tajine Poulet and Tajine Legume. As for our hotel breakfast we had no choice but to dig into a mountain of breads (yeah, like we had any other choices of food in the breakfast menu apart from those bread rolls which stacked up high on the buffet table).

Anyway, we love the mint tea, drank a lot of Sidi Ali (mineral water) and 10Dhm orange juice. YES! Yang's enthusiasm in Moroccan 'exotic' food had lead me to try those snail soup in Jemma Al Fina and taste like err.. those 'Siput sedut'(Fresh water snail) in Malaysia, we'd met Hamid the Grand Taxi man and his relatives from the mountain, visited the berber hut, toured the Madrasas, Palais, travelled around Marrakech in the Petit taxis, and yupp! we also tried their Moroccan Big Mac in the only Macdonald Restaurant in Marrakech at Gueliz. No, I didn't use their Hamman (Turkish bath). I know it sounds tempting but stark semi naked in front of the stranger ? Nope.. and no we didn't visit their Tele-Boutiques (aka Cybercafe/ Fax/ Telephone service centre) because we're too engrossed with the Souks and Tagine i.e. no time for an internet. Finally, we got a chance to taste the Moroccan ice-cream and pastries. Our holiday ended with a Moroccan lunch (Malaysian Menu) appointment with Rahmat and his housemates. What a fabulous holiday we had !
